High Purity Materials

Different environments require different expectations of their material.  There are literlly thousands of materials being manufactured today for all different types of service.  When developinp specifications and determining materials of construction, several things must be considered. some of the more common are:

1. Corrosion Resistance

2. Weldability

3. Avaialibility in the required product forms

4. Will the desired material be able to acheive the required surface finish

And example  is in many Bio-Pham applications the material of choice for many years has been 316L stainless steel.  However, as product buffer solutions and cleaning solutions have become more agressive, corrosion has become a much larger issue.  In order to combat this, the Bio-Pharm industry has recently began using higher alloys in the form of Super-Austenitics, High Nickel, and Duplex Alloys.  All of these represent different challenges.  Though better for corrosion resistance in many applications, they create challenges when it comes to welding, product availability, and meeting the surface finish requirements.

UltraClean has long been involved in working with these types of materials and is your resource for the solution to many of the problems listed above.
